Tungsten
Tungsten (also known as wolfram) is a steel-gray, strong, dense and durable metal. It is scratch- and tarnish-resistant, and hypoallergenic. Jewelry makers use tungsten alloys that contain 20% carbon mixed with other metals.
Care and Maintenance
- Although exceptionally hard, tungsten jewelry can require professional polishing service to remove occasional scratches.
- Remove your tungsten rings when using cleaning products that contain harsh chemicals, such as chlorine.
- To clean tungsten jewelry, use warm water, detergent-free soap and a soft cloth.
- Store your tungsten pieces in cloth bags or original jewelry boxes.
